It was another ugly outing last night for Hondo, who swung and missed with the Angels and Rays to send the deficit soaring to a whopping 1,140 weavers.
Today, in the Marquis matchup, he’ll go with the Rockies over the pitiful Pods — 10 units. Also, he’ll climb aboard the Big Blue bandwagon for a day — 10 on the Giants.

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack wants people to stop referring to the H1N1 influenza as the “swine flu” because of the negative impact it has on hog farm ers. That’s an outrage. What about the negative impact calling it “H1N1” could have on Hondo? People might start calling him “Mr. Aitch1N1” because of his sickly selections. . . . You’d think a guy like ND’s Charlie Weis, who forked over the game to Michigan yesterday, would know how to eat up the clock.
