Hondo doubled his pleasure last night when he connected with the Yankees and Indians to boost his bulging bankroll to 665 beardens.

Today, he’ll go with the White Sox against risky Sowers – 10 units on Vazquez.

Bob “Humble Bob” Shoudt won an Ohio eating contest Monday in which he downed 11.5 pounds of a chili and spaghetti combo dish. Humble Bob, who’s now known as Flatulent Robert, will be unavailable for comment until next week when he vacates the bowl . . . The Log Cabin Republicans gave McCain their endorsement yesterday. That should give his poll numbers a nice goose.
