Hope Solo, the goalie who led the US Women’s National soccer team to victory in the World Cup this summer, will once again face domestic-assault charges after a previously dismissed case was reversed in a Washington state appeals court Friday, ESPN reported.

Solo was first charged with two counts of domestic violence in June 2014, stemming from an incident at the home of her half-sister, Teresa Obert.

Solo allegedly attacked Obert and her 17-year-old son in a drunken rage, repeatedly slamming the boy’s head into cement.

The charges were dismissed by a judge in January, and city prosecutors immediately appealed.

Solo maintains that she was protecting herself from an attack by her nephew, who stands 6-foot-9.

“We are shocked and disappointed by the judge’s ruling this morning,” said Solo lawyer Todd Maybrown.
