It’s time for the first college football game of 2025.

This afternoon, No. 4 Arizona State Sun Devils will meet No. 5 University of Texas Longhorns in the Peach Bowl.

In the No. 4 seed, the Sun Devils are the lowest-ranked conference champion (they finished 12th overall in CFP standings) to receive a bye directly into the quarterfinals. The Longhorns went into the first round as the biggest favorite to advance, and they did with a 38-24 victory over Clemson. They’re also entering today’s quarterfinal as the biggest favorite of the round to advance into the semifinals.
