Well, it’s about that time of year again. The NHL regular season is over, but the fun is just getting started.
After clinching the Presidents’ Trophy (as the team in the NHL with the best regular season record) and the top spots in both the Metropolitan Division and the Eastern Conference, the New York Rangers‘ race to 16 wins and the Stanley Cup is officially on.
The Broadway Blueshirts will first face the Washington Capitals, where Rangers coach Peter Laviolette coached during the 2022-23 season. The connections don’t stop there, either: Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren and his older brother, Capitals starting goalie Charlie, have agreed not to speak until after the best-of-seven series wraps up.
It all starts today, April 21, at 3 p.m. ET. Below, we’ve broken down all the ways to watch every game of this first-round playoff series between the Rangers and Capitals.
