College football is back. Time to take The Post prognosticators to school again. While NYC Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza had a rough year, Stitches (see page 58) finished a remarkable 24 games over .500, winning both the overall (OK, a dead heat with Ted Holmlund) and best bets. Welcome back to winning.

Two spots, three teams. The Indians, Athletics and Rays are jockeying for position in the AL wild-card race. Tribe are in Detroit, where the Tigers have won only 17 of 61 at home. Cleveland’s Mike Clevinger is now 9-2 after winning at Yankee Stadium, then at home against K.C., allowing one run over a combined 10 ²/₃ innings. Tigers’ Daniel Norris has performed well considering the uniform he wears. Team is monitoring his workload so he was removed after three innings his last two starts even though he failed to give up a run versus the Rays and Astros. Banking on another early exit, we will back the Indians for 20 units.

Mitch Garver went 3-for-4 including a homer. Jake Odorizzi pitched six strong innings and the Twins beat the Chisox 8-2. Mini streak has us at -672 killebrews.
