Islanders defenseman Jamie Heward will be out four to six weeks with a non-displaced fracture of his right ankle. Heward suffered the injury eight days ago in the first period of the Islanders’ 2-2 tie at Philadelphia.

Prior to tomorrow night’s Isles-Flyers game at the Coliseum, Isles alumni will face Flyers alumni in an exhibition game at 5 p.m. Clark Gilles, John Tonelli and Bob Nystrom will play for the Isles, and Mike Bossy will be the team’s honorary coach. Admission is free with a ticket to the 7 p.m. game.
