Recalling center Jason Krog after losing Brad Isbister, the Islanders will try to stop losing, period, in a back-to-back battle with Ontario.

The Isles will try to snap a three-game losing streak and avenge the game they blew last month to the Maple Leafs when Toronto visits Nassau Coliseum tonight. The Isles then visit Ottawa tomorrow.

With Isbister out 4-6 weeks with a broken jaw, the Isles brought up Krog yesterday from Springfield, where he was an impressive 11-16-27 in 28 games. They had recalled Mark Lawrence Wednesday from Chicago, where he was 7-4-11 in 17 games.

Isles defenseman Mats Lindgren underwent shoulder surgery yesterday and will be out for the season. Eric Cairns had hand surgery last Friday and Isbister suffered his broken jaw Tuesday against Washington.
