The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission wanted nothing to do with Jake Paul’s latest venture.

Just 24 hours after the GAEC chairman explicitly said to USA Today that the proposed boxing match between Paul and lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis in Atlanta would not happen on their watch, Most Valuable Promotions found a new taker.

Paul will now fight Davis in a boxing match at the Kaseya Center in Miami, although the designated weight class is yet to be determined, Most Valuable Promotions announced

It is unclear whether the fight will be sanctioned as a professional bout or be an exhibition match.

“Most Valuable Promotions, together with Netflix, is bringing the most disruptive fight of the year to Miami, and we could not be more thrilled to showcase this blockbuster event at Kaseya Center,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, in a press release. “On Friday, November 14, fans in Miami and tens of millions watching globally will witness two of boxing’s most electrifying stars collide in a once-in-a-lifetime showdown. We’re grateful to State Farm Arena and the GAEC for their support in this process.”

Paul fought Mike Tyson in what was shockingly sanctioned as a professional bout in the state of Texas, although that has come with loads of challenges in the build-up and blowback afterwards.

Paul, 12-1, weighed 227.2 pounds ahead of his fight with Tyson, while Davis, 30-0-1, weighed in at 133.8 pounds for his fight against Lamont Roach Jr. in March.

“New city, same mission, seek and destroy the tank,” Paul said. “Kaseya Center. Friday, November 14. I’m bringing the heat, and Miami will see me take down this angry elf while the world watches live on Netflix.”
