Mike Jarvis will be on ESPN next season.
Yesterday, the former St. John’s coach began on a little bit of the wrong foot. Unbeknownst to ESPN, Jarvis’ agents sent out a press release detailing the agreement. The release said that Jarvis will be teamed with Chris Fowler and Digger Phelps on ESPN’s main studio show.
An ESPN spokesman said Jarvis’ role has not been meted out yet. While he could work some shows with Fowler and Phelps, no decision has been made.
Jarvis will work games, as well as studio, the spokesman said. Since being fired by St. John’s, Jarvis has been a contributor to ESPN2’s morning show, “Cold Pizza.”
