Yankees fans can get a rare glimpse into Derek Jeter’s life off the baseball diamond on July 28.

That’s the night at 9 p.m. HBO will debut their documentary on the Yankees shortstop pursuing 3,000 hits. Normally media shy, Jeter allowed MLB’s cameras to follow him as he chased history, which included his rehab from a calf injury.

Jeter reached the milestone July 9 with a home run off Rays starter David Price. The Yankees captain went 5-for-5 that day and had the game-winning hit.

The documentary is titled “Derek Jeter 3K.”
