Mets pitcher Jeurys Familia will likely walk on domestic violence charges because his wife does not want to pursue a criminal case, the woman’s attorney told The Post.
“She has no fear. She’s under no duress. Nobody has talked her into anything,” said attorney Cathy Fleming, who represents Familia’s wife, Bianca Rivas.
Fleming confirmed Rivas asked authorities to drop the charges.
“They walked out of the courtroom all lovey dovey,” Fleming said.
Familia and Rivas left a New Jersey municipal court hearing on Nov. 10 holding hands.
In court, the Mets’ bullpen ace pleaded not guilty to roughing up Rivas at their Fort Lee apartment on Oct. 31.
Someone called the cops after the couple got into a heated argument, according to reports. Rivas allegedly suffered scratches to her chest and a bruise on her right cheek from the altercation.
A source close to the case said prosecutors have not decided what to do. Major League Baseball also is investigating the matter.
Familia’s lawyer, Jay Reisinger, said, “given the pending nature of this matter, I have no comment.”
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office did not return calls for comment.
The parties are due back in court on Dec. 15 to learn if Familia will be cleared.
