This could get awkward.

John Calipari’s son, Brad, may be leaving Kentucky after entering the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday, according to ESPN.

The younger Calipari, a junior walk-on guard, redshirted last season after limited appearances his first two years within the powerhouse program his father built. He averaged 0.4 assists and 0.2 rebounds in 2.7 minutes per game.

While entering in to the recent portal phenomenon doesn’t guarantee Brad will leave — the system was introduced in 2018 as a way to let undecided athletes test the market —  John hinted that this was a possibility in March.

“He redshirted because he’s going to have two years to play if he chooses to,” Calipari told The Jim Rome Show. “He can go to another school, a smaller school where he’ll play more.”

Though John seemed confident his son would stick it out with dad.

“I think he’ll stay here,” he said.
