With the rainout of last night’s Red Sox-Yankees game, scheduled to be Jim Kaat’s farewell telecast, only the farewell, it appears, proceeded as scheduled.

Kaat, committed to attend a wedding in New England, will not work YES’s telecast of today’s second game of a day-night doubleheader. The first game is scheduled on Fox. Tomorrow night’s Red Sox-Yanks is an ESPN game.

YES’s video tribute to Kaat will air at a later date.
