Katie Nolan’s star is on the rise at Fox Sports 1 with her recent Emmy win, and the online popularity of her “Garbage Time” show.
Nolan is now hoping for a more prominent spot on the network as her show currently airs on Wednesdays at midnight.
“I think 11, 11:30 (p.m. ET) is my ideal time. Like a late-night show — but on a sports network,” Nolan told The Sporting News (via Awful Announcing).
“I think there’s a real opportunity for us to be the network that has that. And I would love to do it. I’d love to be four or five nights a week, ideally. And we’re working towards that.”

Not everyone was enthused at Nolan’s ambitions. “FS Live” host Dan O’Toole called out Nolan on Twitter for eyeing his time slot.
“Hey @katienolan, great to see you are a team player. Can u feed my kids once you take our time slot? Thanks!” O’Toole wrote.
Nolan did not respond directly to O’Toole, but did reply to another follower by saying that her comments were “misunderstood that way, that’s because of how it was framed by the author of the article. Very clear that’s not my intent.”
O’Toole and Jay Onrait were two of the more prominent faces when FS1 launched in 2013, but their “SportsCenter”-like show has bombed, and was rebranded as a half-hour comedy sports show. The Canadians have been outspoken about their displeasure at how the network has treated them.
It’s been the opposite experience for Nolan, who, despite her shoddy time slot, has been heavily promoted by the network. She has rewarded that trust with a growing online audience that led to the Emmy award for Outstanding Social TV Experience.
The response from O’Toole likely has as much to do with his frustrations with Fox Sports as Nolan herself.
The simple solution is to slide Nolan’s show behind O’Toole and Onrait’s at 11:30 — as even she suggested.
