KC-GIANTS IS 1ST PREP
Not surprisingly, this is Tom Coughlin’s take on preseason games: “My approach to the preseason is we try to win every game we play. It’s much easier to teach and to learn when you’ve been in a winning situation.”
Coughlin, who was 19-14 in the preseason during his time in Jacksonville, gets his first taste of real competition as the Giants’ head coach in a preseason opener against the Chiefs at Giants Stadium. That game will be played the week of Aug. 12-16.
Up next is an Aug. 19 nationally-televised game against John Fox and the NFC champion Panthers in Charlotte. The Giants and Jets square off in their annual summer game the week of Aug. 26-30 and the Giants close out the preseason at home against the Ravens the week of Sept. 2-5.
