ABSTRACT:
The Knicks’ unofficial training camp begins today, about one week before the start of the real deal on Long Island, but already three months late.
Even though Jeff Van Gundy can’t participate, he is hopeful many of his Knicks show up at Purchase to start the ball bouncing on the New Deal shortened season. The Pacers, it has been said, ran lockout workouts that would have impressed Bobby Knight. The Knicks, meanwhile, were slowed by the lockout because Patrick Ewing totally devoted himself to the union cause.
As Ewing goes, so go the Knicks….
