The internet hasn’t stopped talking about the Army softball player who leaped over the catcher, onto home plate and into becoming a viral hit.
“I’m a little bit smaller, so I didn’t really want to run into her,” Kasey McCravey told “Fox & Friends,” when asked what went through her mind in the moment.
“[I] decided last minute just to take a leap of faith and jump.”
The junior, from Scottsdale, Ariz., said that she once did something similar in high school: “I guess it’s a natural instinct.”
McCravey described herself as an unorthodox player, but said she even surprised herself with the move. Her acrobatics earned the Black Knights a 3-1 win over Lehigh.
McCravey, dressed in her military uniform, added that she chose West Point because “she really wanted to serve in some type of way.”
