Liberty coach Pat Coyle has been consistent this season. Her team has not. When the Liberty got off to a 5-0 start, Coyle was saying the same things she said after an 80-74 loss to Houston Friday night that dropped the club below .500 for the first time this year.

“With this team, our goal is to get better every day,” Coyle said. “We’re not going to deviate from that. We’re going to look at the tape and see where we made mistakes. We’re going to learn from it and we’re going to be better [today].”

The Liberty (10-11) will try to halt a three-game losing streak today (4 p.m., MSG) when they host Seattle in the Garden. The Storm will get a boost from the return of star guard Sue Bird of Long Island.
