ALBANY – The big boys take center stage on Saturday as the Class AA portion of the New York State Federation tournament begins.

PSAL champion Boys & Girls, vying for its first Federation crown, will meet Mount Vernon in a highly anticipated showdown.

That will be followed by the ‘A’ and ‘B’ title games. At 5:45 p.m., Collegiate looks to win a record fourth straight ‘B’ crown, but an athletic and talented Salesian club is standing in the Dutchmen’s way. At 7: 30 p.m., the ‘A’ final pits Long Island rivals Long Island Lutheran opposite St. Mary’s.

Can shorthanded Boys & Girls advance to Sunday’s final? Will Collegiate’s dynasty continue? Which Long Island power will hoist hardware Saturday night?
