LUC NOT LONG-LEY FOR NBA
Knicks reserve center Luc Longley returned from a three-week “vacation” to an undisclosed Third-World nation where he had to hunt and fish for his own food. Not much has changed.
He told The Post before leaving that aggressive rehab on his deformed ankle didn’t help and retirement appeared in the offing. “We know where this is all headed,” Longley said then. Yesterday, Longley said he hadn’t spoken to the Knicks about it yet or begun the process but believes that will start soon.
“It’s bleak for me,” Longley said yesterday. “The specialists told me if I want to walk when I’m 40, I should not run on it. My ankle is hamburger.”
