AUGUSTA–t was quite an eventual day for Greg Norman. Playing his final practice round with Camilo Villegas, Sergio Garcia and Robert Allenby, Norman came to the 16th hole were the patrons like the golfers to skip golf balls over the pond and on to the green. Norman tried to oblige, but his low, hard liner, skimmed the water and hit a turtle resting on the bank. The turtle seemed to spasm before flopping into the water.

Later during the Par 3 Contest, Norman aced the par-3 sixth hole. His wife Chris Evert served as his caddie.

Tim Clark of South Africa won the Par 3 Contest with a 5-under par.
