Carlos Ulberg win isn't the best result for the UFC

By erichternyp and Erich Richter

Honestly, this is a nightmare for the UFC, as light heavyweight will be in a full standstill for the next year.

Ulberg is looking likely to be forced into medical scans and a lengthy recovery process, assuming the injury is what we think it is.

For Prochazka, Ulberg's injury could get him an interim shot at the light heavyweight belt.

Carlos Ulberg says he has mixed emotions following win

By erichternyp and Erich Richter

Perhaps the saddest post-fight press conference you will see from a winner. Carlos Ulberg said, "Hopefully it's not as bad as it may seem."

He is headed for scans of his leg and added that it's hard to really celebrate this win.

Paulo Costa also injured in win

By Erich Richter

Paulo Costa had to be wheeled into the press conference post-fight and said he injured his leg from kicking his opponent so much.

He adds that he believes he is close to a title fight at light heavyweight despite this being his first fight in the division.

Dana White says that Carlos Ulberg tore his ACL

By Erich Richter

At the post-fight press conference, Dana White said that it believed that Ulberg tore his ACL.

He will be out indefinitely, perhaps until 2027.

Jiri Prochazka stopped by Carlos Ulberg

By Erich Richter

What a disaster for Jiri Prochazka.

Ulberg clearly injured his leg and Prochazka let up from kicking his leg to score a win. The result is Ulberg getting time to recover and then knocking Prochazka out moments later.

A new light heavyweight champion.

Josh Hokit vs. Derrick Lewis added to White House card

By Erich Richter

A true stunner, that's how big he just got after his win vs. Curtis Blaydes.

Costa looks as good as ever against Azamat Murzakanov

Costa was a big underdog coming into this fight and he is really putting it on Murzakanov during round three.

Kicks and punches are all working.

And there it is, head kick TKO from Costa, Murzakanov was exhausted in there.

Costa looks excellent. Winning the fight so far midway through two.

By erichternyp and Erich Richter

Perfect start for Costa, who is forcing Murzakanov to chase him around the octagon. Costa looks in shape, good cardio, and kicks ot the body.

It's rare to find a fighter that is this comfortable fighting with his back to the cage, but Costa doesn't feel trapped at all in there.

Timid start between Paulo Costa and Azamat Murzakanov

By Erich Richter

Costa on his back foot the whole time, but I think he wants it that way.

Murzakanov is having a tough time catching up right now.

Costa landed a right hand, and it looked to hurt Murzakanov. Costa pointed at him to let him know he saw that he was hurt.

Good kicks from Costa, he looks phenomenal.

10-9 Costa after round one.

Paulo Costa vs. Azamat Murzakanov coming up next

By Erich Richter

Will be impossible to follow that Hokit-Blaydes fight. Best fight we've seen in a long time. Fight of the year so far for sure.
