If needed, Mike Mussina will pitch tonight in Game 7.

“Whatever they want me to do, I am available,” said Mussina, who cut short a regular bullpen session yesterday in order to be ready if Joe Torre needs him around the sixth or seventh inning. “You never know what’s going to happen.”

Mussina, who is 0-3 in the postseason and has lost to the Red Sox twice in the ALCS, pitched very well in Game 4 Monday at Fenway Park in a 3-2 defeat.

“I can give them an inning or two at the most,” said Mussina, who in 386 regular season appearances and 14 post-season games has never worked in relief.

Only Andy Pettitte, who went five innings last night, is definitely out of tonight’s action.
