Another video has surfaced from lightweight boxing champ Gervonta Davis’ domestic violence incident last month, and this one appears to show him swinging at his ex-girlfriend.
Davis was charged with simple battery domestic assault after forcefully grabbing the mother of his child by her neck, taking her out of her seat at a charity basketball game at the University of Miami and pushing her out of the arena in an argument.
New video obtained by TMZ shows the altercation, which didn’t stop once they left the court. The footage shows Davis near the exit when he appears to take a swing in the direction of the woman, who comes charging back at him seconds later. The two were separated before Davis got into a separate dispute with another man in the room, who appeared to be recording video of the incident on his cell phone.
Davis eventually turned himself into police in Coral Gables, Florida.
“I never once hit her,” Davis wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Yea I was aggressive and told her come on … That’s the mother of my child. I would never hurt her.”
Davis is 23-0 with 22 knockouts and won the World Boxing Association lightweight title on Dec. 29 with a knockout of Yuriorkis Gamboa, but he has also had a history of legal troubles outside of the ring.
