* I am glad the NFL players’ union decertified. Now its time that the league be sued under antitrust laws. No more draft, no more salary cap and no more ripping off the public. It’s time for the NFL’s robber barons to pay the piper.

* The average career of an NFL player is less than four seasons. Their average life span is under 60 years. They deserve a fair percentage of the revenue of the league and that percentage should not be one percent less than they are getting now. If the owners want to pay them less, let them get replacement players — or better yet have them put on the pads and get their own heads kicked in.

* I am hereby notifying the Jets that I will not make any payment toward season tickets until a settlement is agreed upon between the NFL owners and the Players Association. I have agreed to pay $40,000 towards a PSL, plus $140 a ticket for four seats. If there is no 2011-12 season, I feel that the owners and players, hand in hand, are violating their contract with the fans. No contract, no season, no agreement equals no football. I as a fan, will follow your lead and do nothing. My payment will be made when an agreement is reached. Two inconsiderate sides think of only themselves. Grow up! People are starving, homeless, out of work and are losing their homes. If you need help with your negotiations, I will be there any day or night, for no cost. You want your money. We want our football. Forget the fans and the fans will forget you.

*Are the NFL players and owners out of their minds? It isn’t football season anymore so we are not missing any games. The economy is about as bad as it can get with people losing jobs and gas prices — and all other prices — rising. These NFL people must be on drugs to complain that they are not making enough money. Billionaires are arguing with millionaires. I think the fans are going to tell these idiots to wake up pretty soon. No one feels bad for any of them.

* Talk about a home job in the St. John’s-Rutgers game on Wednesday. Let’s keep St John’s in the Big East tournament as long as we can, so we can make money selling tickets and memorabilia. The Big East office made a mistake as well. Those three referees should have also forfeited their pay and the money should go to Rutgers as a scholarship. Two of those refs have a lot of tournament experience. Jim Burr has officiated 16 Final Fours, the first in 1985, the last in 2006. Tim Higgins has worked 10 Final Fours, the first in 1988, the last in 2004. It’s time to hang it up, gentlemen.

* The question is not whether the Mets should rid themselves of Jose Reyes and David Wright in a fire sale. The question is why the Mets didn’t jettison them following the team’s despicable collapse of 2007, when they led the NL East by seven games with 17 left to play, only to finish second. The Mets have underachieved ever since that collapse and Reyes and Wright bear significant responsibility for that. It’s time to cash them in for whatever the market will bear.
