Well, this is one way to get more people to watch the Olympics: putting two Brazilian supermodels on a set with Ryan Seacrest.

Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima will contribute to NBC’s coverage next month by providing features and commentary on a late-night program hosted by Seacrest, according to the network.

There are a couple ways you could look at this move: a blatant ratings ploy by NBC, an alternative to looking at Bob Costas’ gross pink eye infection, or maybe an actual journalistic resource to provide insight into the social ramifications of the Olympics from two natives.

If anything, Ambrosio and Lima can give a first-hand look at how their country has been affected by Zika and ISIS fears that have corresponded with the leadup to the games. Maybe it won’t be as seamless commentary as it would be with lifelong broadcasters, but it will provide a unique element to the coverage that certain people will want to watch.
