Amber Glenn knows the sun is going to rise again after her devastating performance in Tuesday’s short program at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 26-year-old figure skater posted an encouraging message after committing a major error in her program, set to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” that dropped her to 13th place.
The post, originally shared by the @the_positive_core account, featured a dog wearing a baseball cap with the accompanying message of: “The world has ended for me many times and yet tomorrow still comes. Keep going.”

Glenn, one of Team USA’s Blade Angels, was reduced to tears following her performance at the Milano Ice Skating Arena, when she landed a double loop instead of a triple.
She received zero points for an invalid element in the technical elements scoring, bringing that score to 34.19.
When combined with the program components scoring (33.20 for composition, presentation and skating skills), her total reached 67.39.
The leader, Japan’s Ami Nakai, posted a 78.71.

The Texas-born skater will have another opportunity on the ice Thursday with the free skate.
Glenn’s teammates, Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito, finished Tuesday’s short program in third and eighth place, respectively, at 76.59 and 70.84.

It’s been a crushing run on the ice for Team USA.
“Quad God” Ilia Malinin fell to eighth place in the men’s free skate last Friday following two tumbles in his program after entering the competition as the gold-medal favorite.
The U.S. is currently in third place in total medals behind Norway (32) and Italy (25) with 24.
The States has seven gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals.
