Give her a gold medal for ingenuity.
An Olympic swimmer, in need of somewhere to train amid the coronavirus pandemic, set up a tiny inflatable pool in Marsaneix, France and tethered herself to a tree with an elastic cord so she could make continuous strokes.
Sharon van Rouwendaal, a 26-year-old from the Netherlands who took home gold in the marathon event at the 2016 Rio Games, posted her creative setup on Instagram.

Van Rouwendall told Storyful that she attempted to swim in a sea and a lake, but by the time she emerged from the water police were “waiting for her.”
Olympics 2020, which was set to begin on July 24 in Tokyo, has been postponed to July 23, 2021 as a result of the global coronavirus outbreak.
