Another event, another medal for Sunisa Lee, America’s gymnastics darling of the Summer Olympics.

The 18-year-old picked up her third medal on Sunday morning, earning a bronze in the uneven bars after winning gold in the all-around competition and a silver in the team final.

Lee, who took on an even bigger role at the Olympics after Simone Biles withdrew to focus on her mental health, scored a 14.500 at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre.

Lee is the first Hmong American to compete in the Olympics and also the first Asian American to earn gold in the gymnastics individual all-around.

She finished behind Nina Derwael of Belgium (15.200) and Anastasia Ilyankova of the Russian Olympic Committee (14.833).

Lee’s final event will be the balance beam final Tuesday.
