Thanks to a $10,000 wager placed Thursday at Lone Star Park outside Dallas by some crazy Texan, the entry “all other 3-year-olds” is the favorite in Churchill Downs’ Kentucky Derby future betting as of yesterday.

The first round of future betting, which is offered by New York City OTB, Monmouth and The Meadowlands, ends tomorrow afternoon at 4:30.

The other big development so far is that no wagers are being taken anymore on Cape Canaveral after trainer D. Wayne Lukas announced Thursday that the colt is injured and will not make the Derby.

Eight of the 23 horses on the list run today in the Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Also, two horses on the list are racing this weekend at the Fair Grounds. Silverbulletday goes in the Davona Dale today and Answer Lively starts tomorrow in the Risen Star.
