Packers coach Mike McCarthy said quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ right shoulder is sore after he was hit by Chicago’s Danieal Manning while scoring a 1-yard touchdown during Sunday’s NFC Championship Game victory over the Bears. McCarthy didn’t seem overly concerned, and added Rodgers wasn’t affected by what appeared to be a helmet-to-helmet hit by Bears defensive lineman Julius Peppers later in the game.

In other Packers news, a prosecutor who has been pondering for eight months whether to file sexual assault charges against Green Bay backup cornerback Brandon Underwood said she’s waiting for information from the state crime lab.

Two women accused Underwood in June of sexually assaulting them at a Lake Delton, Wis., condo, after initially accusing several other Packers players, then recanting that part of their stories. Sauk County District Attorney Patricia Barrett told the Associated Press the investigation is still active, and she is waiting for what she called “information” from the state crime lab. She declined to elaborate.
