Taking care of one of their loyal soldiers, the Devils have signed restricted free agent Jay Pandolfo to a two-year contract.

The winger who has sacrificed his collegiate scoring skills to become a tough checker for the Devils is believed to be receiving a raise from the $550,000 he made last season. With Devil-style bonuses for games played, Pandolfo, who opted not to seek salary arbitration as a restricted free agent, is expected to make as much as 800G for each of the next two seasons.

The 27-year-old Pandolfo, who was the Devils’ second-round pick in 1990 out of Boston University, has played all 54 of the Devils’ playoff games the past three seasons.
