COLLEGE BOUND dropped to this level three starts back and has been inching closer after missing by a neck in the mud after wide trip in last. Cuts back two furlongs here. ECSTATIC CAT owns three second-place finishes against lower level claimers and debuts off claim for barn that can turn runners around. PLATINUM SANDY fought it out on front end and missed by a half-length at the wire while making debut off claim. Returns and bug rider sticks.

VALENTINO’S GOLD makes second start since February and returns to this level after lacking a rally and beating two to wire over a week ago. Better expected today. OPEN OUTCRY claimed two back then stepped up to this level and faded as the favorite. Entrymate PRINCE OF DREAMS never out of an exacta finish in last four since stretching out and returns off a victory at today’s distance. SMALLTOWNMAN dropped to this level and flashed speed before tiring and now returns off claim for 31% next-out barn.

ALL UP makes first start since October when he finished fourth in his second attempt against state-bred allowance foes at Monmouth. Shows three works and returns for decent layoff barn and gets added ground for second time straight. UNBELIEVABLE HAND Holy Bull gelding returns and drops after tiring to fourth against tougher as the favorite. Decent four-furlong works eight days ago. WEAVE IT TO ME tired and stopped in last two at higher levels. Gets drop here and faces wide open crew while returning for sharp trainer.

NEVESIAN returns to where she was a tough second as the chalk two back before stepping up to allowance company where she was fourth after a wide trip. Strong four-furlong breeze nine days ago for this. RED VIXEN broke maiden at Keeneland, then closed belatedly in last at longer at Churchill Downs in November. Shortens and shows strong works for return off claim for sharp outfit. BIRD CAY trailed at longer and cut back in last when she had wide trip and finished third. Fits with these.

WESTOVER WILDCAT never off board in last five starts despite being claimed twice. Gets drop and returns after February outing when he edged away as the favorite over muddy track. GRAND PRELUDE won by a neck at Monmouth in August and hasn’t been out of an exacta finish in next seven starts. Makes second off layoff for 24% barn when doing so. HUFF N’ HUGHES won going away against weaker competition two back, then stepped up and gave a mild bid for fourth as the favorite. Gets drop for improvement.

MASQUERADE been runner-up over last three starts with last two at today’s level. Looks for revenge after closing to miss by a neck as the favorite in last. STEPH’S BULLET finished a close third in same race as above runner, then dropped to claiming start and was unfortunate second as the favorite. Will be tough here. NO VEGGIES makes third start off layoff and steps up and cuts back after two routes against lower level allowance foes.

EASTER GIFT Only off board twice in nine starts; Curlin Stakes and Grade 2 Indiana Derby. Closed to beat open claimers as the favorite at Aqueduct over a month ago and returns to make second start since January. Three works since have been sharp and barn is always dangerous. PONZI SCHEME sporadic runner debuted for this barn in Uncle Mo stakes at Aqueduct and tired to fifth while making first start in over four months. Has two strong works since for barn that shows 30% mark when making second start. RULER ON ICE not sure which Roman Ruler will show up here, but after running four wide and tiring in Grade 3 Excelsior at Aqueduct, can work better trip here and owns the back class to give a decent effort. Big question.

HALLIE BROOKS broke maiden three back then missed by a nose at today’s level before stretching out and tiring to second as the favorite. ONE SMART PHILLY makes fifth attempt at this condition and second at route after closing well for third in last. MAGIC CHARM broke maiden by a neck at Tampa Bay and then came on for second in last against open claimers. Gets added ground here and is bred to like.
