Pick Six players will have plenty of opportunities this weekend to hit it big.
Today, there is a $33,904.12 carryover at Aqueduct. There is also a $1 million guaranteed Pick Six pool at Gulfstream Park with Races 5 through 10. The Gulfstream Pick Six will be available at Aqueduct, The Meadowlands and all OTB outlets.
Tomorrow, Aqueduct will not have a Pick Six due to only five live races. But the Big A will take the Ultra Pick Six from Gulfstream Park with a $5 million guaranteed pool. The races will be Gulfstream’s fifth (Breeders’ Cup Mile) through the 10th (Breeders’ Cup Classic).
Sunday, Gulfstream will offer another $1 million guaranteed Pick Six pool. Also, if the Pick Six at Aqueduct is not hit today, the pool will be carried over to Sunday. There will not be a mandatory payout today if it is not hit.
1ST RACE – Renee’s Bubbles set the pace while being pressured by Always Red on the inside. On the turn, Dittany made a three-wide move to press for the lead. Imacheatalittlebit followed her and moved into contention entering the stretch. She took the lead by the eighth pole and went on for the victory.
2ND RACE – Iridium set the pace and had the lead turning for home. Beau Tie saved ground early, moved up on the turn and took the lead at the top of the stretch. He drew off in the stretch for the victory. Duplicitous saved ground early, angled out and brushed with Celtic Tower at the top of the stretch. He straightened out and finished well for second over Celtic Tower.
3RD RACE – Gangsta Rap set the pace and was pressed hard by Credit Indeed. Sugar Mags made a three-wide move to the front to join the other two. The three were across the track in the stretch and tried to battle each other into submission. After a final eighth of 14 seconds, Credit Indeed barely lasted for the victory over Gangsta Rap with Sunshine Scott, who closed well despite racing on the wrong lead, in third.
4TH RACE – Rhinestone Dewey pressed the pace set by Rubbie Due. Rhinestone Dewey took the lead entering the stretch and drew away for the win. It was the first starter and victory for Alexander DeRosa, who claimed Rhinestone Dewey Oct. 21 for $30,000. Distant Hope chased the pace and ran well to finish second. Favored Dancing Lori was never close and finished a non-threatening third.
7TH RACE – Directrix was close to the pace throughout, split horses and then took the lead in the stretch over favored Playin Doctor to get the victory. Julio Pezua picked up the mount for the win. Playin Doctor saved ground throughout but could not hold off the winner. Gabbie Mawdie was a late scratch when it was discovered that she was ineligible for the race.
9TH RACE – Super Trax set the pace and had the lead turning for home. But favored Sell The Farm, who raced wide throughout, got into gear and took the lead in the stretch. He drew off to an easy victory under Inosencio Diego. Oro Bandito, who finished fourth, was scheduled to run with glue on shoes, but Frank Martin changed his mind and went back to regular shoes for this race.
