It was the Tour de Prance!

A pro-cycling competition on Thursday turned into a one-horse race when a tiny steed ran into the field and started galloping alongside the riders.

A delightful video captures the show pony joining the sixth leg of the Tour de Poland, jockeying for position with the two-legged competitors as they swerved to stay stable.

The animal was in the running for around a minute, before one of the riders guided it off to a side-street.
