Searching for a printable blank NCAA bracket for this year’s March Madness?
Whether you want to make your picks before Selection Sunday or simply prefer a clean bracket, the Post has you covered.
How are March Madness teams picked and seeded?
Each of the 32 Division I conferences is guaranteed a bid to the NCAA Tournament. This berth, known as an automatic qualifier, goes to a team that has won its postseason conference tournament, regardless of how it played during the regular season.
The rest of the bracket is filled with at-large bids, which is where the NCAA’s Selection Committee comes into play. After the conclusion of all conference tournament games, the 10-member committee decides which 36 teams that are not automatic qualifiers have earned a spot on the NCAA bracket. The committee also determines the seeding for the entire 68-team field, which is announced on Selection Sunday.
