Charlie Thau fanned six in five strong innings, Armando Perez doubled twice and drove in two runs and Cole Dreyfuss contributed three hits as Riverdale topped Dalton, 7-1, at Van Cortlandt Park Friday in the Ivy Prep League. Riverdale (7-0, 5-0 Ivy Prep League) remained undefeated and tied atop the division with Poly Prep while Dalton is now 1-4.
ACIS/PSAA ALLIANCE
Nazareth 8, Bay Ridge Prep 5: Gregory Velez had two hits, stole three bases, scored three runs and drove in another and Jerry Cortorreal struck out 13 and went the distance as Nazareth won its second straight to improve to 3-1 in the ACIS/PSAA Alliance.
NON-LEAGUE
Packer Collegiate 5, Cathedral Prep 0: Freshman southpaw Michael Duffy and reliever Brian Maloney combined on a no-hitter with Duffy going the first six innings and striking out 11 for Packer (4-1) in non-league. Nick Morton scored twice and Maloney, Billy Dudine and Henry Butler added RBIs.
