Susan Wagner will be hot heading into its regular-season finale with Tottenville on Friday.
Taylor Sarcone gave up no runs on four hits and struck out 13 to lead Wagner to a 9-0 win over host Petrides in PSAL Staten Island A softball Thursday.
Sarcone also had a double and two RBIs and Julianna Rossetti was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for Wagner (14-1). Petrides is 6-8.
James Madison 12, New Utrecht 0: Gina Gerone went 2-for-3 with a home run, six RBIs and two runs scored and Jennie Hosty went 1-for-3 with a homer, two RBIs and a run scored for Madison (13-2 Brooklyn A). Cheyenne Tatesure gave up no runs on one hit with six strikeouts in five innings and Breanna DePasquale also had a home run. New Utrecht is 6-9.
Francis Lewis 5, Townsend Harris 0: Samantha Stelloh went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Priscilla Lallave gave up no runs on four hits with six strikeouts in seven innings for Lewis (12-3 Queens A-I). Harris is 4-10.
Cardozo 7, Bowne 2: Nicole Guglielmetti went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored and Shelby Yacovone gave up one earned run on five hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings for Cardozo (13-2 Queens A-I). Bowne is 6-10.
Environmental Studies 19, Manhattan Center 9: Eva Lassen went 4-for-5 with seven RBIs and four runs scored and Maimouna Diallo was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored for Environmental Studies (6-8 Manhattan A). Idaysha Quinones had three RBIs for Manhattan Center (9-6).
