LEGENDARY hero In diana Jones returns to the screen this week. Chances are, it will be a somewhat bittersweet adventure. We expect Indy will tease us with the possibility this entry will be as stellar as some previous. Nevertheless, we fear it will fall short.
Not unlike some of these diamond veterans, who have opened 2008 with some blockbuster fantasy fanfare. We’re happy to go along for this early ride, but we stop short of thinking they will dominate the summer. So trade these guys while their value is high.
Kevin Youkilis, 1B/3B, Red Sox – On pace for nearly 40 homers, which would more than double last year’s career high of 16. His career batting average in the first half of the season is .308, compared with .244 in the second half.
Ryan Ludwick, OF, Cardinals – Has matched his homer total from a year ago already, and his average (.300) is 70 points higher than his career mark – numbers that he likely will be unable to maintain.
Milton Bradley, OF, Rangers – The Human Board Game has been strong early, but he hasn’t played more than 96 games in a season since 2004 and has eclipsed the 100 mark only twice in 11 seasons. On of these days, he’ll stay in a game long enough to get injured before he gets ejected.
