As we alluded to, Juan Carlos Osorio juggled the Red Bulls’ lineup in hopes of snapping their three-game losing streak. And among the moves was the first-ever MLS start for Spanish midfielder Albert Celades, and a keeper switch as well. Keeper Danny Cepero will start tonight against San Jose, his first MLS action since getting concussed in a 0-0 tie at Houston on April 11. Veteran Jon Conway had started the five league games since, with Cepero playing in a 2-1 U.S. Open Cup play-in win, ironically at San Jose.

Mike Petke also got the call in central defense. It was the veteran’s first league start since giving the ball away for a goal in the 3-0 season-opening loss to expansion Seattle.

Celades also made his league debut. The 33-year-old has played for Barcelona and Real Madrid, and will start in a box midfield tonight.

Here is the Starting XI:

GK _ Danny Cepero

D _ Alfredo Pacheco, Kevin Goldthwaite, Mike Petke, Carlos Johnson

MF _ Seth Stammler, Alberto Celades, Jorge Rojas, Sinisia Ubiparipovic

F_ Mac Kandji, Juan Pablo Angel
