Red Bull forward/midfielder Dane Richards has received his green card. I don’t know if that had anything to do with why he went back home to Jamaica for a week last week, but what is clear is that it helps the Red Bulls’ roster situation.

With both Mexican Diego Jimenez and now Richards holding green cards _ the former through his American wife _ the team now has two international spots open. It comes at a good time, with the international transfer window closing Friday.

With bids out on three impact strikers _ all presumed to be foreign _ and a young Gambian teen in on trial, this should give the team flexibility.
