The Red Bulls are about to kick off against New England, looking to snap an eight-game winless skid against the Revs. Juan Pablo Angel is in the starting lineup, and so is Chris Leitch _ AT MIDFIELD??? OK, all you guys that had a beef with Juan Carlos Osorio’s lineup in the 2-0 loss at Dallas are going to have more to cry about on this one. As expected, he went to a 3-5-2 at home. And as expected, he had Angel up front with Jozy Altidore. But there were surprises.

One, Carlos Mendes _ who has been persona non grata so far despite Hunter Freeman being injured and Jeff Parke being suspended last weekend _ finally got a sniff of the field, starting at right back.

And Leitch, who had started at right back, is now at right midfield. He’ll have a battle with Khano Smith, and actually may have enough combination of speed and marking ability to keep up with the New England left winger.
