Shane Victorino hit a tiebreaking homer in the bottom of the eighth and Placido Polanco had a three-run shot to lead the Phils.

In St. Louis, Lance Berkman had three hits and two RBIs in game two as the Cardinals gained a doubleheader split with Washington. In game one, Laynce Nix homered and drove in two runs for the Nationals.

In Chicago, Ryan Ludwick had three hits in game two, including one of the Padres’ three home runs. The Cubs won the first game on Reed Johnson’s homer.

In Denver, Ty Wigginton tied a career high with four RBIs, including a three-run homer.
