With a record of 5-1 heading into Saturday, the Reds were off to a fast start this season. They are in Arizona this weekend, and the Reds’ Jose De Leon (0-0, ERA 3.60) will match sliders with the D’backs Luke Weaver (0-0, ERA 4.76) on Sunday.

Both starters have trouble keeping the ball in the park. De Leon allowed two runs (both solo homers) to the Pirates in his first start, though he fanned nine in five frames. Weaver allowed three runs (all solo homers) to the Rockies. The COVID-shortened season wasn’t short enough for Weaver, who went 1-9 last year. Cincinnati won for us last week, and we can sure use another confidence booster. 20 units on the Reds.
