Charley Steiner is likely out of the Yankees broadcast booth.

Steiner is a leading candidate to become the new radio play-by-play voice of the Dodgers. The Los Angeles Daily News took the news a step further yesterday, saying Steiner will be announced next week as the Dodgers’ new lead voice.

A Dodger spokesman would only say “no comment” to questions regarding Steiner. Steiner and Steiner’s agent did not return calls.

Suzyn Waldman is the leading candidate to replace Steiner.
