Ric Flair is out of the hospital after a frightening week for him and wrestling fans.

Flair could be seen in photos, obtained by TMZ, being wheeled out of the hospital with his wife, Wendy Barlow, by his side. The details are a bit sketchy, as Flair is supposedly notorious for downplaying his health issues.

But it appears the 70-year-old underwent a surgical procedure, related to recent heart issues, after doctors initially delayed it.  TMZ reported the surgery was a success and Flair has been in good spirits in recent days.

“The Naitch Is Home!!!” Flair tweeted. “Thank You To All The Incredible Staff And Doctors At Gwinnett Medical Center Once Again! I Am So Thankful For All My Family, Friends, And Fans For All The Love. At This Time In My Life, I Never Take It For Granted. I Will Be Back Up And WOOOOOing In No Time!”

The surgery did force the cancellation of Flair’s Las Vegas roast.

“Everything changed when he went to the hospital last week, ahead of the appointment,” his son-in-law Conrad Thompson told Sports Illustrated on Tuesday. “That’s when the doctors discovered a complication, delaying surgery from last week to this week. That complication is preventing air travel.

“So, the bad news is the roast is postponed to a date yet to be determined. The good news is that his surgery was successful and he will be back to his regular routine again very soon.”

Flair was put on life support while in a medically induced coma in 2017 due to kidney issues and bowler surgery that he said was linked to years of alcohol abuse.
