For the first time in more than two years, Rutgers is ranked among the top 25 teams in college football.
Coming off a 31-0 pounding of then-No. 23 South Florida in a nationally televised game Thursday night, the Scarlet Knights narrowly edged North Carolina to earn the 25th spot in the Associated Press poll released yesterday. Rutgers (7-2) finished with 145 points overall, while North Carolina had 144.
The last time Rutgers was in the AP top 25 was 2007, when it was ranked for seven weeks before falling out in late October.
