The Rutgers women’s basketball team will include a forward from Australia next season.
Coach C. Vivian Stringer announced Tuesday that Juliana Paunovic has signed a letter of intent to play for the Scarlet Knights next season.
Paunovic spent the last two seasons at Casper College in Wyoming, where she averaged 15 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Paunovic helped lead the Thunderbirds to a 33-5 record last season. They finished fourth at the NJCAA basketball championship in March.
A resident of Edmonton in Queensland, she will have two years of eligibility at Rutgers.
