Sampdoria played Parma to a 1-1 draw at home Sunday to move level on points with Serie A leader Inter Milan.

Giampaolo Pazzini gave Sampdoria the lead in the 23rd minute, before Parma tied the score with a goal from Daniele Galloppa seven minutes later.

Inter, which beat Udinese 2-1 on Saturday, has 16 points and is ahead of Sampdoria on goal difference. Juventus and Fiorentina are in third with 14.

Juventus failed to take advantage of Sampdoria’s draw, losing its first game of the season as Edinson Cavani and Fabio Semplicio scored to give Palermo a 2-0 victory.

Ronaldinho, meanwhile, tallied with six minutes left to play to give AC Milan a 1-1 tie on the road to 10-man Atalanta. At the same time, Roma defeated Napoli, 2-1, at home thanks to a game-winning goal by Francesco Totti midway through the second half.
